This event is event No 6 in our Saturday League and the Moray & Nairn Schools League.

PARKING; there is a small Car Park behind Lossie FC Social Club, 41 Macduff Street IV31 6ET and plenty of parking on nearby streets and at the East Beach Car Park.

Registration's at the Lossie FC Social Club on Macduff Street from 1015 am and we'll have teas, coffees, juice and cakes afterwards! Please bring a cake!

If you've never done orienteering before, just bring your trainers, your sense of adventure and a sense of humour to match. One of us will show you what to do to get started.

START and FINISH will be a 7-8 min walk from Registration.

Courses available:
Long (light green standard) approx 4 Km - ie intermediate standard
Short (yellow standard) approx 2 Km - ie beginner standard
Enter whichever course you think suits your ability. Adults don't be afraid to stick with the short easy one if it's your first time orienteering.
For Moray and Nairn school pupils, you can score points for your school team by taking part! If you're moving up to secondary this summer you can run for your new or old school - just tell us which when you register.

Schools League competitors can run on either course, but secondary and primary pupils will be scored separately. See the 'Leagues' menu for schools competition information.

If you're running for your school, please register individually, but you're welcome to run with a friend and help each other out as you go, as long as you've both registered. For groups of 3 or more running together, only 2 individual times can count for your school team. This is to make it fair for the majority of more experienced juniors who do the course on their own or as pairs. It's the best 4 times that count for the Schools League - you can see the full rules and information HERE.

Previews and post-event reports for all our events appear in the local press. We post most of them in our press album on Facebook, so why not take a look?

Punch Type:
Dogs on leads only
Event Prices

Adults £5, juniors (U21) £4.

£1 discount to members of any orienteering club.

£1 extra discount to anyone who brings their own timing chip.

Adults shadowing juniors only need pay for the junior entry. We rely on adults to let the kids do most of the navigation themselves. If you are doing all the navigation for them (ie they're chasing you round the course), please let us know at registration so we can note you down as "non competitive" or register you as an adult.

We encourage adult "shadowers" to help out if you see your children going obviously, wrong or getting stuck, but please wait for them to ask you for help before stepping in. That's all part of the learning process and helps build their self-confidence. This also makes it fair for the children that do the course all by themselves.
