Generally runnable mix of deciduous and coniferous forest terrain with lots of complex contour detail. Registration and refreshments (soup, cakes, tea, coffee etc) in Conicavel Village Hall raising funds for Dyke Primary School PTA. Pre-entries (as at 29th Jan) are already well over the 130-mark so we're expecting a good turnout with 200+ competitors. Some of the top orienteers in the UK are on the start list so all you juniors can see what to aspire to!
Instructions for Pre-entered Competitors
· Please find your start number, either by using the alphabetically sorted list or the list sorted by your course.
· Collect the backup card with your start number on (arranged in groups of ten) and attach it to your Emit brikke, which will be issued at the pre-entries table.
· You can go to the start when you are ready. When you download, your start number will be used to identify you.
Full Range: White (1.7 Km), Yellow (2.8 Km), Orange (3.1 Km), Lt Green (3.7 Km), Green (4.6 Km), Blue (6.7 Km), Brown (8.7 Km)
Although online entries at Oentries are now closed, it's OK to enter on the day. Please note that if there are a lot of on-the-day entries we might run out of maps for some courses, although we should have plenty of spare maps for the shorter courses. Maps have run out for Brown and Green in previous Darnaway events, and although our map order is based on historical entry levels as well as the number of pre-entries, we recommend that you arrive early if you want the best chance of getting an entry on the day for your choice of course.
