Safety Information

  • All Competitors take part at their own risk and a choose a course that matches their experience and fitness, noting the course closing time
  • You MUST report to Download by course closing time.
  • Courses close at 8.30pm
  • There will be a manned car in the competition area (non - first aider) which will be marked on the map with a cross. Their role will be a point of contact relating to any safety matters reported to them either by the competitor or the organisers. They will assist appropriately as required.
    It is not a designated first aid point, refreshment point, spare torch and battery shop or taxi pick up.
    The safety point is not an alternate finish.

 

Start and Finish Information

Both the start and finish are a short walk from registration

Dogs are allowed, but must be under control at all times, and on a lead within the village area. No dogs are allowed on the courses.

Prize Giving

There will be trophies for the 5 championship categories and mugs for individual class winners. We intend to present these as soon as possible after courses close.

There will be tea/coffee available in the hall.

Please note that shadowing of children IS allowed on course 6, provided that the young competitor is registered as "non-competitive". The shadower (if running a championship course later on) must also declare themselves non-competitive or have their own run first (admittedly this is difficult given the limited start window).
