Event Details

These details are copied straight from INVOC's on-line entry page:

Come along to our level D event at Craig Leach on typical Highland terrain. There is a lot of wind blow damage but courses will miss most of this. Mature open forest with good path network and intricate contour features one of the venues for WOC 99

Parking at Grid ref. NH 603410 on forest roads. Large vans will be about 750m from start.
Signed from A82 on small road to Blackfold. Organiser (Kev Holliday) has produced this fine (speeded up!) video to make sure you don't get lost on your way to the event!  TO WATCH IT CLICK HERE
If you live in Moray or Highland, and are under 17, you can enter the M & H Junior competition. These courses will be run on the same courses as the main event, but you will be eligible for the trophy/medals in your age group.
When entering, please specify Boy or Girl, and the age group that you qualify for.
ie – BU11 will be for boys under the age of 11, on the race day.
GU15 will be for girls under the age of 15, on the race day.
Any juniors in Moray or Highland, who fit into these age classes will be welcome to enter them. All other area juniors should enter the colour of their choice.
Remember that you can run up a class but not down. So a boy who is 12 on race day can run under 13 or under 15, but not under 11. Your age for the purposes of this event will be the age that you are on May 31st.
Moravian and INVOC Juniors who orienteer regularly should run the colour that they normally run. For INVOC members this will be particularly important for league results. So even though a girl is only 12 on race day, if she normally runs orange (GU15), then she should enter GU15 ! (this is the orange course!!!)

To reiterate the advice given by INVOC above:

The junior event is aimed at the novice end, to attract more juniors in to the sport. Club juniors who are used to running at a harder colour than the one allocated to their age group should run whatever colour they want. A 9 year old can still run as an Under 15!

Juniors aged 17 and over, and those who have already reached Green standard or above, have progesssed beyond the level of this competiton. If you're under 17 you can still run Junior Elite at Light Green or run in the open colour-coded classes.
